DPRK People Celebrate Traditional Folk Holiday

Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- Chusok is one of the traditional folk holidays of the DPRK people.

It is their custom to visit their forefathers' graves to pay tribute on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month (Chusok).

On the occasion of this day, they visit the graves of the martyrs and late comrades who dedicated themselves to the prosperity of the country. They also meet their families to look back with deep emotion on their feats and careers.

From early morning of September 25 (this year's Chusok), many working people, young people and students visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong, the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri and the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery to pay floral tribute.

Lots of people visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery in Hyesan and other martyrs' cemeteries and graves across the country, where they pledged to follow in the footsteps of the revolutionary forerunners.

Passenger service units in Pyongyang Municipality and other parts of the country set bus routes for the citizens visiting their forefathers' graves and rendered kind service.
