Rural Housing Construction Promoted in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- Nampho Municipality of the DPRK is stepping up the rural housing construction.

The city organized a passing-on technique and skilled workers' contest to raise the technical skill levels of builders and reinforced the guiding force with competent officials to improve the level of specialization in construction.

The Kangso District has intensified the inspection of construction so as to thoroughly ensure the quality of all the processes of housing construction and save materials.

Onchon County has rationally allocated skilled workers and turned a technical innovation movement into the mass-based one, thus finishing the framework project and speeding up the process-specific construction.

Construction units in Waudo and Taean districts, too, have carried out their daily assignments in a responsible manner while increasing the proportion of work done by machines and observing the standards and regulations in construction.

Builders in Hanggu and Chollima districts and Ryonggang County are making progress in construction every day, while ensuring the smooth progress in such construction processes as bar working, form assembly and mixture tamping.

The city concentrates on qualitatively completing the rural housing construction planned for this year by consolidating the material and technical foundations at building-materials production bases and increasing the production of finishing building materials with locally available raw materials and resources. -0-
