Successes Made at Coal Mines in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 13 (KCNA) -- Coal mines in South Phyongan Province of the DPRK are increasing the production.

Coal miners of the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine fulfilled their yearly plan ahead of schedule and are expanding successes in their mining and tunneling work.

The Pukchang Area Youth Coal-mining Complex has produced thousands of more tons of coal than the planned as of September.

The February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine of the Sunchon Area Youth Coal-mining Complex has carried out its plan set higher than last year by taking measures to raise the coal transport capacity and introducing rational working methods. The Ryongdae Youth Coal Mine, too, has made signal achievements in coal production through various mass movements.

The coal miners at the Anju Area Coal-mining Complex have carried out their daily quotas by making effective use of existing equipment and ensuring promptness of transport. Kaechon Coal Mine, Jagang Provincial Supply Coal Mine and Joyang Coal Mine under the Kaechon Area Coal-mining Complex and Myonghak Coal Mine under the Tukjang Area Coal-mining Complex are increasing coal production every day by applying the mining methods suited to the conditions of coal faces. -0-
