DPRK Agricultural Sector Operates Tele-Questioning and Answering System

Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- The tele-questioning and answering system for farming techniques is in full operation in the agricultural sector, according to Rodong Sinmun.

The Agricultural Commission informs officials of the provincial, city and country agricultural guidance organs and agricultural workers of important technical information related to every farming season and process and gives timely answers to sci-tech problems arising in reality through the system.

The system includes briefings on crop growth forecasts, lectures on technical matters arising in farming processes, question-and-answer sessions with competent scientists, technicians and university teachers in the field of agriculture and image or video presentations on technology and experience created in farming.

Recently, the Agricultural Commission dealt with the matters arising in introducing paddy-field fish breeding and cultivating crops in a scientific and technological way to cope with the disaster weather through the system.

The system is favoured by the officials and working people in the agricultural sector as it deals with many methodological issues and disseminates excellent experience. -0-
