Many Winners of Model Worker Honor Prize Produced in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- Model Worker Honor Prize has been conferred on more than 90 persons in the DPRK this year.

Ri Chol Guk, a conductor of the West Pyongyang Train Crew under the Pyongyang Railway Bureau, is now exalting his honor as a meritorious man of socialist patriotism. He has worked on the railway sector for over 40 years.

Choe Yong Sam, a driver at the North Hamgyong Provincial Long-distance Passenger Transport Station, and many other workers are dedicating themselves to affording convenience in residents' everyday life with the spirit of serving the people to implement the policies of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Song Sun Hui, a worker at the Hamhung Woolen Mill, and Choe Un Sun, a worker at the Sinuiju Textile Mill, are highly praised as model workers as they have over-fulfilled the national economic plans every year. They contributed to raising the quality of goods and productivity and trained many highly skilled workers.

Kim Kwang Ho, a worker at the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex, invented some technological innovations to contribute to repairing electric locomotives and making a subway train. And he explored many reserves for increased production and economization and thus made a tangible contribution to modernizing the railways. -0-
