Increased Solar Power Generation Capacity in South Hwanghae Province

Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- According to Minju Joson, South Hwanghae Province is conducting a mass campaign to solve the problem of electricity by using natural energy sources.

Recently, thousands of kilowatts of solar power generation capacity have been newly created in the province.

In July, the province organized a demonstration of integrated solar charge inverter with a capacity of tens of kilowatts in use in several units.

Many institutions, enterprises and leisure facilities in the province have attained electricity self-sufficiency by creating the solar power generation capacity.

The solar power generation systems were set up on roofs of many high-rise apartment buildings and low- and single-storied dwelling houses in urban and rural areas. The number of households using the systems is on the increase. -0-
