National Exhibition of IT Successes Closes in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The national exhibition of IT successes-2026 closed with due ceremony at the Sci-Tech Complex here on October 30.

During the exhibition, advanced experiences were shared and transferred through AI products contest, robot contest, programming contest, contest among the units producing IT products including digital TVs and smart phones, sci-tech presentation and lecture on IT, and exchanges were conducted to introduce ultra-modern technology.

Present at the closing ceremony were Kim Sung Du, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Sung Guk, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials concerned and officials and working people of the exhibiting units.

The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, the South Hamgyong Provincial Communications Management Bureau, the Unsan Paper Mill, the Jongphyong County Leisure Complex and Okryu Restaurant were selected as the 2026 top ten IT model units. The AI Technology Institute of the AI Faculty of Kim Il Sung University, the IT Institute of Kim Chaek University of Technology, the IT Institute of the Ministry of Railways, the Chongsong Electronic Trade Company and the Pyongyang Kwangmyong IT Center were selected as the 2026 ten best IT enterprises.

Certificates, cups and medals of the 2026 ten best IT products were awarded to the intelligent integrated production system of the Samgwang Livestock Farm and the Sinuiju Combined Greenhouse Farm, the hydro-meteorological integrated information system and other IT products.

Diplomas, prize banners, certificates and prizes were awarded to ministries, national agencies, people's committees at all levels, exemplary units and participants who made positive contributions to the development of the IT industry.
