Pyongyang Municipal Shock Brigade Leaves for Coal Mines

Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Officials, Party members and other working people in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, have turned out in the shock brigade campaign for increased coal production.

A kick-off meeting of commanding officers and members of the Pyongyang Municipal Shock Brigade took place on Saturday.

Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, addressed the meeting.

He stressed that the Pyongyang Municipal Shock Brigade should be a model in all respects, saying it is a proud tradition of the officials, Party members and other working people in the capital city to respond to the appeal of the great Party Central Committee with proud practical successes.

Then there were oath-taking speeches.

At the end of the meeting, the shock brigade members set out for the coal mines amid warm send-off. -0-
