Founding Anniversary of Pyongyang University of Education No. 2 Observed

Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang University of Education No. 2 marked its 80th founding anniversary.

The university was founded on October 1, 1946 as an institution for training educators of a new Korea. Its 80-year history is the immortal one associated with the wise leadership and devotion of the peerlessly great men who set it as an urgent task for the country's educational development to build up the ranks of teachers and energetically led it.

President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il clearly indicated the orientation and ways for improving the training of reserve teachers, sent teaching tools and equipment for experiments and practice and showed warm loving care for teachers and researchers.

Paying deep attention to the work and life of teachers and researchers of the university responsible for training reserve educators, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made sure that they became winners of high-level state commendations and owners of modern new houses. Under his warm love and trust the teachers of the university have successfully discharged their mission and duty as career revolutionaries.
