Scientific Research Prize Conferred on University Students in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- The Scientific Research Prize was awarded to exemplary university students of the DPRK who have distinguished themselves in study and scientific researches.

University students across the country presented valuable inventions and technological innovation proposals through a brisk brainstorming campaign.

A meeting for awarding the prize was held at the Central Youth Hall on October 21.

Present there were Paek Un Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials of the youth league and university students.

Diplomas and medals were awarded to more than 600 university students including those of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Phyongsong Teachers Training College and Hamhung University of Medicine.

At the end of the meeting, an art performance was given to congratulate the prize winners. -0-
