National Sculpture and Craftwork Festival Opens in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The Seventh National Sculpture and Craftwork Festival opened with due ceremony at the Pyongyang International House of Culture on September 3 in celebration of the 78th birthday of the DPRK.

On show at the festival are more than 300 works created by sculptors and craftsmen from art studios, amateurs and schoolchildren across the country.

Those works represent the reality of the country, which is being transformed every day under the leadership of the great Workers' Party of Korea, and the happy people enjoying a new civilization and life.

They include sculptures and craftworks of various themes which portrayed the bright and cheerful looks of the younger generations realizing their dreams and cultivating talents under the benefits of the grateful socialist system.
