Finals of Basketball Tournament of Officials Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The finals of the 2026 basketball tournament of officials from ministries and national agencies took place at the Basketball Gymnasium in Chongchun Street here on Sept. 3.

The tournament brought together units under the Cabinet. The teams of the State Planning Commission and the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection advanced into the final stage of the tournament on a knock-out basis, which started on August 18.

Among the audience were Pak Jong Gun, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the State Planning Commission, officials concerned and officials of ministries and national agencies.

The first place in the tournament was taken by the team of the State Planning Commission. The team of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection came second and the Ministry of Railways third.

After the finals, the rotating pennant and trophy cup were awarded to the successful team and its players. -0-
