International Day of Older Persons Marked in DPRK
Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on September 30 to mark International Day of Older Persons.
Present there were officials of the Central Committee of the Korea Federation for the Care of the Aged, other officials concerned, old people in the municipality and those exemplary in contributing to the fund for supporting the aged.
Warmly congratulating the aged on International Day of Older Persons, speakers at the meeting said that the bright image of the aged, who are enjoying a happy life under social care and respect, clearly shows the validity and vitality of the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on protecting the aged.
They stressed the need to give full play to the advantages of the Korean-style socialist system, in which everyone lives in harmony, helping and leading one another, by taking good care of health and life and proactively doing good things for the aged so that the aged live full of energy despite their advanced ages. -0-
