15th National Conference of Teachers Closes

Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The second-day sitting of the 15th National Conference of Teachers took place on September 3.

More oral and written speeches were made there.

The speakers at the two-day conference analyzed and reviewed the educational work in their units and regions in the light of the educational policy of the new era and had intensive discussions about the practical ways for implementing the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea on bringing about a radical turn in education during the new long-term plan.

They referred to the proud successes achieved in reorganizing the overall educational structure as required by the new era and training talented persons with steadfast political and ideological view and broad knowledge, high creative ability and strong physical strength, and the excellent experience gained in consolidating the material and technical foundations of education.

They noted that they persistently pushed ahead with the improvement of the overall educational conditions and environment in their regions as part of the work of their Party committees to remodel the educational facilities befitting the ones in the era of comprehensive development, and made a remarkable progress in implementing the Party's policy on bringing about a radical turn in education through the devoted efforts to better the working and living conditions of educators.

The conference closed after achieving the desired results amid the special concern of the WPK and the DPRK government and great expectations of the people of the whole country. -0-
