Anniversary of Promulgation of Law on Sex Equality Marked by DPRK Women

Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of the women's union had a story-telling meeting "We Are Korean Women" at the Hall of Women on Wednesday to mark the 80th anniversary of the promulgation of the Law on Sex Equality.

Present there were Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, officials and members of the women's unions in Pyongyang.

The performers highly praised the exploits of the peerlessly great men who liberated women from all sorts of social inequality and feudal fetters and led them to make a positive contribution to the sacred struggle for the victory of the socialist cause.

They told about the warm loving care and affection of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who took benevolent measures to make the Eighth Congress of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea a grand meeting to be specially recorded in the history of the Korean women's movement and had a photo taken with the participants in the congress.

The stories about the women who are beautifully cultivating a large socialist flower garden with virtue and affection, devoting themselves to the collective and comrades reminded the audience of the true life and worth of human beings in our era.

The performers expressed their determination to fulfill their mission and duty as true woman revolutionaries, genuine patriots and communist mothers in the worthwhile struggle for implementing the decisions of the Party Congress true to the idea and guidance of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. -0-
