Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in leading newspapers of the DPRK on Tuesday:

- Premier Pak Thae Song inspected several economic sectors.

- There took place an enlarged plenary meeting of the Cabinet.

- The Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK issued decrees on awarding Three-Revolution Red Flag and Honored Red Flag to exemplary units and schools.

- There took place a symposium to mark the first founding anniversary of the Pyongyang General Hospital.

- There took place a meeting to donate Sonyon(children) farm machines provided by schoolchildren in North Phyongan Province.

- Achievements are being made in different units and regions.

- An article says that the ideas and policies of the Workers' Party of Korea are science and victory, and only victory and glory are always in store for the DPRK advancing under the leadership of the Party.
