Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in Rodong Sinmun, a leading newspaper of the DPRK, on Thursday:

- An editorial calls for making the whole society overflow with the climate of creation and innovation as required by the era of the comprehensive development.

- Articles "Historic event that brought about a turn in the destiny of the DPRK women" and "Patriotic path covered by the DPRK women who have pushed one of the two wheels of the revolutionary chariot under the leadership of the Party" are dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the promulgation of the Law on Sex Equality.

- A story-telling meeting of officials and members of the women's union was held to mark the 80th anniversary of the promulgation of the Law on Sex Equality.
