Natural Resources for Medical Tourism in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- The DPRK has many natural resources for medical tourism specially good for health and treatment of the people.
Among them are mineral waters and hot springs including Kangso Mineral Water, Sokwang Temple Mineral Water, Sambang Mineral Water, Paektu Hot Spring, Hwangjin Hot Spring, Yangdok Hot Spring and Ryonggang Hot Spring.
There are also the resources for mud treatment such as mud in Lake Sijung and Kwangryang Bay and many resources for climate treatment including clear and clean air and beautiful landscape.
Such natural resources are effective in treating various diseases including high blood pressure and rheumatic, skin, spinal, gynecological and gastrointestinal diseases, eczema and diabetes.
In particular, insam, platycodon, Ganoderma and Rhododendron are well known to the world and in great demand among tourists.
The famous Armillaria in Mt Chilbo area is popular for its nutritive value and efficiency in treatment and Kaesong Koryo insam is used as a basic material for making Koryo medicines as it has distinct medicinal effect on various diseases.
Besides, there are other resources like antler, musk, sea-cucumber and ear shell. -0-
