New Year Performance Given by Schoolchildren

Pyongyang, January 2 (KCNA) -- Laughter and songs of the blessed younger generations growing up spiritedly and cheerfully under the care of the motherly Workers' Party of Korea, which is beautifully shaping a bright future of the country with the ardent love and devotion to the rising generations, resound more clearly along with the hopeful New Year.

A performance of schoolchildren for greeting the New Year on the theme of "My Country Is the Best" was given on January 1.

Among the audience were senior officials of the Party, government and armed forces organs, officials of ministries and national agencies, labor innovators and meritorious persons, teaching staff and students of revolutionary schools, working people and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.

The overseas compatriots staying in their socialist motherland also enjoyed the performance.

Put on the stage were colorful numbers showing schoolchildren reliably growing up into ardent juvenile revolutionaries and young patriots of socialist Korea under the warm care of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The performers extended their New Year greetings to Kim Jong Un, who is taking care of the children and making them be the happiest in the world with much care as the tender-hearted father of the large socialist family and meticulous parent of the children, reflecting the unanimous mind of all the schoolchildren across the country.

The audience enthusiastically clapped for the performers as they put on the stage such colorful numbers as songs and dances and a music and dance story, full of the dreams, ideals and passion of the schoolchildren who are preparing themselves into the masters of a powerful and prosperous country through their efforts to equip themselves with ample knowledge, high morality and strong body, enjoying the benefits of the socialist educational system.

Fully displayed at the story-telling meeting "Gold Star Medal of My Father" was the ardent enthusiasm of the students of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Chilgol Revolutionary School to firmly prepare themselves to be true sons and daughters of the revolution and backbone of the cause of Juche who support and follow only the WPK, steadily carrying forward the soul and spirit of their parents' loyalty.

The music and dance story "We Grow up in the Bosom of the Marshal" was acclaimed by the audience as it impressively depicted the appearance of the Korean schoolchildren in Japan faithfully and staunchly growing up to be successors to the patriotic cause of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

The performance ended with the epilogue "How Better the New Year Will Be", more firmly convincing the audience that the country will be resounded with the laughter of the children forever and its future bright and rosy thanks to the benevolence and loving care of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un. -0-
