Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- Hong Song Sik, director of an institute of the Academy of Poultry Science, was selected as one of the DPRK's best scientists and technicians for 2025.

True to the intention of the Workers' Party of Korea to provide our people with much more meat and eggs, he bred a new breed of battery hen and another new breed much better than the existing one at laying eggs and resisting disease.

He also bred "Pyongyang Chicken No. 1" of good taste and made a contribution to establishing a system of preserving and improving purebred chicken and to developing the ways of raising the chicken. -0-
