One day in March 1959, President
He told its officials greeting him that he would call at peasants' houses before anything else.
At a peasant's house, he personally opened the door to the kitchen and entered it. Then, looking at the jars standing orderly in a line, he asked the house owner which the soy jar was.
He got the lid off the soy jar to examine its inside. And he leaned the jar and looked again more closely at the inside, and came to know that there was not much soybean paste left in the jar.
After learning about the soybean farming through the jar, the President held a consultative meeting at the office of the farm management board.
At the meeting, he set forth a new goal for increasing the per-hectare yield of soybeans and taught all the soybean-farming methods, including seed processing at the seedtime and manure applying. -0-
