New Houses Built in Komdok Area of South Hamgyong Province

Pyongyang, November 24 (KCNA) -- New modern houses have been built in Ryongchon-dong, Saemunhwa-dong, Ponsan-dong, Jonjin-dong No. 2 and Taehung-dong No. 1 of Tanchon City, South Hamgyong Province, the DPRK, this year, too.

Ceremonies for moving into new houses were held on the spots amid the joy and excitement of the miners and residents who would receive the new houses.

Congratulatory addresses were made at the ceremonies attended by officials of the province and the General Bureau of the Tanchon Area Mining Industry, officials concerned and working people who would move into new houses. Then licenses for the use of houses were handed over to be followed by resolution-taking speeches.

As house-moving began, cheerful dancing parties were given and the happy laughter resounded at the new houses.

Officials visited the miners' families to hear their impressions of moving into new houses and encourage them to further increase the mineral production, cherishing the benevolence of the Workers' Party of Korea which translates the people's dreams and ideals into reality. -0-
