President Kim Il Sung visited the then Pyongyang Primary School No. 19 early in April, 1954.

After going round the inside and outside of the school, which hasn't healed the scar of the war, for a long time, the President looked round the school campus. Pointing at a building on the opposite side of the school, he asked an official accompanying him what it is.

Upon hearing the answer of the official that it is the newly built office of the Ministry of Commerce, the President asked again about the possibility of using the office as a school.

The official couldn't reply soon as there was no other building for the Ministry of Commerce at that time.

The President told the official that the Ministry of Commerce can build an office by itself or the public servants can work in a small building, giving instructions that the office should be given to students.

As a result, the office of the Ministry of Commerce turned into a school in a day.

This story is one of the legends of love created by the President who spared nothing for the rising generations and made efforts for providing them with better conditions for education. -0-
