Schoolchildren Tour Revolutionary Battle Sites in Area of Mt Paektu

Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- Schoolchildren from across the DPRK made a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu from June 12 to 18.

They visited the Paektusan Secret Camp associated with the legendary tales about the heroes of the anti-Japanese struggle.

They laid a floral basket and bouquets before the mosaic depicting the peerlessly great persons in the Sobaeksu Valley and paid tribute to them.

Seeing the historic relics preserved with much care at the native home of the revolution, the schoolchildren cherished the revolutionary career of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

They went round the Sajabong Secret Camp, Mupho Bivouac, Monument to the Victorious Battle of Musan Area and Samjiyon Grand Monument and held a campfire meeting and a meeting for hearing impressions of the reminiscences of anti-Japanese guerrillas.

They held a meeting to vow to prepare themselves as young vanguard and revolutionaries boundlessly loyal to the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un at the plaza before the statue of Chairman Kim Jong Il in Samjiyon City on June 18.

Present there were officials of the youth league and members of the study tour group.

The participants pledged to usher in a brilliant heyday of overall national prosperity on this land under the leadership of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un, true to the soul and spirit of the revolutionary forerunners who provided the precious tradition of loyalty and unity in the early period of the Korean revolution. -0-
