Women in Kanggye City Volunteer to Work at School Uniform Factory

Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- More than 80 women in Kanggye City of the DPRK have volunteered to work at the Kanggye School Uniform Factory.

An official of the primary women's union organization in Taeung-dong and many women's union members in Woesan-dong and Naeryong-dong requested their organizations to dispatch them to the factory. And those in Simchon-dong, Ryu-dong and Kangso-dong joined the volunteers.

Women in Woeryong-dong and Uijong-dong made their mind to contribute to providing the students with good school uniforms and live a worthwhile life as patriotic workers.

A woman in Sokhyon-dong is determined to repay with her sincere efforts of creation the gratitude of the Workers' Party of Korea and the state which treat her preferentially as she has many children.

A meeting was held in the city on June 2 to congratulate the volunteers.

Present there were officials concerned, women's union officials and women in the city.

A congratulatory address was made at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

The volunteers were greeted by officials and employees of the factory. -0-
