Researches Brisk at Hamhung Branch of State Academy of Sciences

Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- Scientists of the Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences in the DPRK are making achievements in the researches to ensure the fulfillment of the project in a scientific and technological way.

They solved the key problems in industrializing the production of melamine resin and put forward a rational plan for remodeling various technical processes so as to lower the standard of material consumption per unit and have contributed to putting the production of sodium carbonate on a normal basis.

They completed the technology for manufacturing the acid-proof pump blade of significance in fertilizer production in their own way and have stepped up the preparations for serial production in cooperation with field technicians.

They introduced a technology for producing synthetic resin into a paint factory and built large-capacity synthetic resin and paint production lines to ensure test operation.

They established the technology of manufacturing pigments for making soap with excellent performance indices and have expanded the production.

They studied the slow action fertilizer effective in kelp farming and have intensified the test of its application and introduction. They developed an energy-saving separation membrane technology of the Korean style which is of significance in solving the sugar problem and have pushed ahead with its introduction.

They made a contribution to modernizing the metallurgical industry by ensuring the domestic production of general gas analyzers and manufactured more than 10 kinds of analytical and measuring equipment to send them to agricultural science institutes.

They developed efficacious slow action fertilizer based on locally available raw materials and solved scientific and technological problems arising in the production of nutrient solution. -0-
