DPRK Young People Volunteer to Work at Worksites for Implementing Regional Development Policy

Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- Many young people in Nampho Municipality of the DPRK volunteered to work at workplaces seething with the implementation of regional development policy.

The young people in Hanggu District and Ryonggang County wrote their names on the list of volunteers, pledging to have a large share in translating into reality the plan of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea which has ushered in a great era of regional change.

Dozens of graduates of senior middle schools in Onchon County raised to the youth league organization to send them to the raw materials base station of modern regional-industry factories.

Graduates of senior middle schools in the districts of Kangso, Waudo, Taean and Chollima also volunteered to work at raw materials bases.

The volunteers were awarded certificates at the meeting held on April 20 to congratulate them.

Then speeches were made.

Officials and young people presented bouquets to the volunteers and gave a pep talk to them. -0-
