Women's Union Members Volunteer to Work at Posts of Socialist Construction

Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- Women in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK are taking an active part in public life in response to the Workers' Party of Korea's call. Shortly ago, more than 300 women's union members volunteered to work at industrial establishments seething with the campaign to implement the Party's resolution.

Many women in Sinuiju City petitioned to their organizations to make sure that they work at school uniforms and footwear factories with the single mind to repay the benevolence of the motherly Party even a bit.

Women's union members in Kusong City and Unsan, Ryongchon and Phihyon counties volunteered to work at forest management stations, afforestation stations and other worksites.

Those in Sonchon, Yomju and Tongrim counties advanced into new revolutionary posts, including salt works, machine factories and light industry factories.

Present at the congratulatory meeting held on March 13 were Ri Yong Chol, chairman of the North Phyongan Provincial People's Committee, Sin Tong Chol, secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and women's union officials and members. Speeches were made there.

Women's union officials and members saw off those women volunteers with the single desire to glorify their genuine life in the revolutionary advance for comprehensive development of socialism. -0-
