Successes Made in Electric Power and Coal Industries of DPRK

Pyongyang, September 18 (KCNA) -- The electric power and coal industries in South Phyongan Province of the DPRK are boosting production both in quality and quantity through a mass technological innovation movement.

The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex has introduced an innovation proposal for recycling waste materials from production and repair, thus increasing the production of insulating bricks at low cost.

At the same time, the complex installed oxygen analyzers in all the boilers to provide conditions for ensuring high-quality air, thus increasing thermal efficiency.

The workers and technicians of the Sunchon Thermal Power Plant are fulfilling their daily plans while settling the problems arising in production with the improvement of the scientific and technological force as the key to increased production of electricity.

The Chongchongang Thermal Power Plant introduced far-infrared heating element to raise the efficiency of pulverized coal combustion and solved the technical problems to prevent ignition band breakage by slag.

The coal miners of the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine improved the production environment and raised the quality of coal by introducing a dust collector without using electricity through a mass technological innovation movement.

Similar successes were made in the Ryongdae Youth Coal Mine and the Mujindae Youth Coal Mine. -0-
