Newspapers Mark Founding Anniversary of KCU

Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK on Tuesday dedicate an editorial and article to the founding anniversary of the Korean Children's Union (KCU).

Rodong Sinmun says in an editorial that June 6 is a significant holiday in which millions of the KCU members who inherited the revolutionary traditions of the anti-Japanese children's corps and firmly prepare themselves to be successors to the revolution, proudly holding aloft the flags of the KCU, are powerfully demonstrating their courageous spirit and wisdom before the world.

The KCU, the revolutionary children's organization without an equal in the world which has the proud history and tradition, is the glorious children's union of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il which was founded and trained by the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il with much care, the editorial says, and goes on:

The new century of Juche is recorded with the proud course in which the KCU members have firmly prepared themselves to be pillars of a socialist power and masters of the future under the special and meticulous care of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.

There are schoolchildren in each country but only the Korean schoolchildren are having their beautiful dreams and hopes given full play, being respected as the precious treasures of the country incomparable to anything.

Today, millions of the KCU members are creditably translating into practice their pledge before the KCU flags, bearing in mind the benevolence of the Party and the country under the great loving care of Kim Jong Un.

Steadfast are the determination and will of the Workers' Party of Korea to surely build a new world in which the younger generation will proudly live with kneeling to no one, brightly and vigorously and enjoy an abundant and happy life without being insufficient.

The eternal glory of the dignified and powerful country and the great state is calling the reliable KCU members. All the KCU members should firmly prepare themselves to be pillars of a socialist power and masters of the future, holding aloft the flags of the KCU.

Minju Joson says in an article that the Korean people are greatly encouraged by the reliable KCU members who are growing up to be pillars of the future under the warm loving care of the Party and the state, and they are turning out as one in the sacred struggle to hand down a prosperous country to posterity. -0-
