Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK Friday dedicate editorials to the 93rd founding anniversary of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA).

Thanks to the day when President Kim Il Sung founded the KPRA, the great successes of profound meaning in the history of the Korean revolution and the nation could be made and the gallantry and tenacity of the DPRK and its people advancing, embroidering all the revolutionary stages with victory and glory, could be fully demonstrated, Rodong Sinmun says, and goes on:

The sacred course of the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK which started on April 25 teaches the truth that only the army led by the great leader can demonstrate its might as the most elite revolutionary army creating the history of victory.

The founding of the KPRA was the world historic event heralding the birth of the powerful revolutionary army boundlessly loyal to the idea and leadership of the leader and the army of the people fighting for the dignity and happiness of the country and its people for the first time in history.

As the KPA, which inherited the proud history and tradition of the KPRA, proclaimed its founding and achieved a great victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, the dignity, honor and sovereignty of the Republic could be firmly defended, the independent development environment of our state be firmly safeguarded, the U.S. imperialists' strategy for world hegemony be checked and a new world war be prevented to achieve the peace of mankind.

As they inherited the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude created by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners under the care of the President, the Korean people could work miracles of Chollima from scratch after the war, build a socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in defence on this land and record the history of Korean-style socialism as a history of great victory and change.
