Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- National scientific and technological presentations in the fields of construction and acoustics respectively took place from October 21 to 24.

More than 140 papers conducive to leading the civilization and development of Korean-style socialism were submitted to the national sci-tech presentation in the field of construction held under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the Architects Union of Korea.

During the period there was a meeting for sharing the experience gained in working out the proposal for protecting sandy beach in the Wonsan Kalma coastal tourist area and a video show on data on the recent trend in construction.

Present at the national sci-tech presentation in the field of acoustics held under the sponsorship of the Korean Acoustics Society of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea were scientists, technicians and field officials of Kim Il Sung University, the Paektusan Institute of Architecture and the Green Architecture Institute of the State Academy of Sciences.

Proposals including a research into manufacturing sound level meter and sound controller were highly appreciated at the presentation as they are contributing to further refining our own acoustic science and technology and developing and creating advanced acoustic materials and modern and automated acoustic equipment. -0-
