Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- DPRK players returned home on October 24 after taking part in the ITTF Asian Para Championships 2025 held in China.
The championships brought together more than 400 players from 18 countries and regions including the DPRK, India, Kazakhstan and Malaysia. The DPRK players bagged two gold medals and one sliver medal.
Jon Ju Hyon took the first place in the MS6. He defeated a Chinese player 3:0 in the quarter finals, ROK player 3:0 in the semifinals and Thai player 3:0 in the finals.
In the MS7, Kim Yong Rok beat Japanese and Chinese players in the quarter finals and semifinals. He defeated a player of Hong Kong, China, 3:1 and won a gold medal.
Meanwhile, Jon Ju Hyon and Kim Yong Rok took the second place in the MD14.
The players and coaches who displayed the honor of the country were greeted at Pyongyang Railway Station by Jon Chol Hi, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, officials concerned and families.
Members of the Korea Sports Association of the Disabled congratulated the players and coaches on their successes in games, putting garlands around their necks and presenting bouquets to them. -0-
