Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- A national meeting of members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK), who distinguished themselves in displaying noble traits, was held in Pyongyang on April 23 and 24.

The meeting was aimed at positively encouraging and generalizing the noble communist virtues and beautiful traits shown with the absolute loyalty to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and pure patriotism, and at more firmly preparing the workers and trade union members to be genuine revolutionaries and patriots possessed of noble moral ethics and a collectivist outlook on life.

Present there were Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the GFTUK Central Committee and GFTUK members from across the country who distinguished themselves in displaying noble traits.

Pak In Chol, chairman of the GFTUK Central Committee, made an opening address to be followed by a report.

The reporter said that the past 10-odd years in the praiseworthy GFTUK history are associated with the trust, devotion and efforts of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who has led the workers and trade union members to dedicate themselves to strengthening our great country and make a positive contribution to firmly consolidating the single-minded unity of the large socialist family.

Today the officials and members of the GFTUK face the honorable task of more fully demonstrating the spirit and mettle of the energetic vanguard unit in the historic advance toward a new horizon of comprehensive national rejuvenation, he said.

He called upon all the trade union officials and members to become the true patriots who make more strenuous and devoted efforts than anybody else in order to relieve the Party and the state of their troubles even a bit like the preceding generations under the communist slogan "One for all and all for one!"

He appealed to all the participants to fully display boundless loyalty to the Party, mass heroism and pure patriotism and thus fulfill their responsibility and duty in the sacred struggle to glorify this significant year marking the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK as a year of a great turn.

Then speeches were made.

A letter of pledge to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting. -0-
