Pyongyang, January 16 (KCNA) -- Colorful events will be held in Pyongyang to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League.

Exemplary youths and service personnel, selected from all parts of the country, including workplaces of creation and construction and military posts, arrived here on January 15 to take part in the commemorations of the anniversary.

Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and other officials of the WPK Central Committee and officials of the youth league Central Committee warmly welcomed them at Pyongyang Railway Station and the April 25 Hostel.

Along streets, Pyongyang citizens waved at the buses carrying the participants. -0-
