Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- Fishery units in South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK are speeding up the preparations to go out fishing after completing the winter repairs to fishing boats.
The officials and workers of fishing units in the province repaired the fishing boats more than 10 days earlier than last year and are securing the fishing implements and materials necessary for fishing in spring.
The Haeju Fishery Station has drawn up a scientific plan for repairing fishing boats and taken measures to overcome the effects of changing weather conditions.
The Pupho Offshore Farm finished the hull repair ahead of schedule by speeding up processing and assembly while doing the technical management of equipment in a responsible manner.
It organized a scientific and technological study so that all fishermen can use advanced fishing methods and has pushed ahead with the work to make more effective use of a fish detector.
Progress is also being made in securing or repairing fishing implements and providing the supplies necessary for fishing. -0-
