Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) -- Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of the construction site of the Samjiyon Mountainous Tourist Resort and the first-stage construction site of the Tanchon Power Station nearing completion.

At some places of the tourist resort, the premier acquainted himself with their construction, and said that it is necessary to make the most effective use of the good construction time in conformity with the geographical features, strengthen the construction workforce and skilled workers and raise the operation rate of construction equipment so as to finish the project in time without fail.

Reviewing the preparations for this year's project, the premier stressed the need for all officials to complete the planned project at the highest qualitative level by redoubling the extraordinary efforts and displaying the correct executive ability.

Looking at the vehicles, utensils and tools of the 216 Division, which arranged a ceremony for putting vehicles in service and a utensils and tools exhibition, he underlined the need to develop, introduce and generalize the advanced and efficient equipment, utensils and tools in larger quantities.

At the first-stage construction site of the Tanchon Power Station nearing completion, the premier called for solving the sci-tech problem arising in raising the efficiency of generating equipment and reducing the power loss to the maximum and for taking foresighted measures to ensure stable growth in the power production after its inauguration.

The field consultative meetings discussed the issue for stepping up the preparations for the first-stage inauguration of the Tanchon Power Station, the issue for making positive use of the rational construction methods in the second-stage project of the power station and the issue for the relevant units to ensure the smooth supply of necessary equipment and materials in good time.
