Pyongyang, March 17 (KCNA) -- The fourth meeting of headquarters chairpersons of the 25th Congress of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) was held at the Korean Hall in Tokyo on March 13.

Present there were Chairman Ho Jong Man, First Vice-Chairman and Director of the Organizational Department Pak Ku Ho and vice-chairpersons of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, the chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, department directors of the Central Committee of Chongryon and chairpersons of headquarters of Chongryon.

Councilors and vice department directors of the Central Committee of Chongryon attended the meeting as observers.

The main work orientation of Chongryon for this year is to imbue themselves with the revolutionary idea of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and effect substantial development and change in the struggle to usher in a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan by single-mindedly and devotedly upholding his revolutionary leadership, the reporter said.

He referred to the tasks for the chairpersons of headquarters of Chongryon to more vigorously conduct this year's work as planned and intended by Kim Jong Un to achieve successes in their work.

He called for concentrating all efforts on strengthening the branches of Chongryon and laying a mass foundation with the 2024 conference of representatives of Chongryon branches as an occasion.

Saying that to preserve and develop the national education is a vital task for implementing the important letter of Kim Jong Un, the reporter stressed the need to motivate all the officials, organizations, parents and activists to bring about a decisive turn in national education.

Then followed speeches by chairpersons of Chongryon headquarters.

The speakers vowed to make substantial development and change in the patriotic movement this year by doing their utmost to carry out the tasks set forth in the important letter of Kim Jong Un.
