Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- A national sci-tech presentation and symposium in the stockbreeding sector took place through videoconferencing at the Agricultural Commission on July 22 and 23 under the sponsorship of the Korean Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Technology Association under the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
Present there were officials, teachers, researchers and postgraduate students of more than 20 units including the Zootechny Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Pyongyang University of Agriculture, Phyongsong University of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry and Hamhung University of Agriculture.
Presented to the sci-tech presentation were dozens of papers conducive to breeding domestic animals, including the development and application of substitute feed and feed additives in the animal husbandry sector.
Appreciated were such proposals as the nutritive value of Ongjin reed and its effect applied to goats and the method and technology of raising pigs with new feed additives.
Discussed at the symposium were the ways for raising the weight ratio of domestic animals and the milk output by introducing phytosin at animal husbandry units. -0-
