Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- The February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine has concentrated its efforts and means on the areas with good prospect of mining to lay out reserve coal beds and introduce an efficient horizontal sublevel mining method and chain conveyor into the field.

The coal mine has increased the coal output while lowering the standard of power consumption for per-ton of coal as compared with the same period of last year by ensuring the normal operation of the main belt conveyor newly installed in the 9th pit.

It has put the face management on a scientific and technological basis, raised the operation rate of mining equipment and introduced advanced blasting methods to increase the production.

It has increased the operation rate of the transport equipment to carry coal in time. -0-
